Thodi Si Umeed Thoda Sa Aasman Actress Aarti Birajdar and Ankita Bahuguna Find Peace and Positivity at Kolhapur’s Mahalakshmi Temple
Navratri is a time when faith feels stronger, prayers feel closer to the heart, and every visit to a temple becomes a special experience. For Thodi Si Umeed, Thoda Sa Aasman actors Aarti Birajdar, who plays Vaidehi, and Ankita Bahuguna, who plays Anupriya, visiting the famous Mahalakshmi Temple in Kolhapur during the auspicious festival was a beautiful way to connect with their faith and seek the Goddess’s blessings. Known for its religious significance, the temple attracts devotees from across the country who come to offer prayers and seek happiness, prosperity and strength.
Sharing her experience, Aarti Birajdar said, “Whenever its Navratri and you are in Kolhapur, visiting the Mahalakshmi Temple is a must! There is something truly special about this place. The moment you enter the temple, you feel a sense of peace and calm. The Mahalakshmi Temple is one of the most famous temples in Maharashtra, and devotees from far and wide visit here to seek Goddess Mahalakshmi’s blessings. People have immense faith in the Goddess and believe that she guides them through life’s challenges and brings happiness and prosperity to their families. Personally, I love visiting this temple whenever I get the opportunity. There is a different kind of comfort I find here, something that is difficult to put into words. During Navratri, when the entire atmosphere is filled with devotion and festive energy, the experience becomes even more beautiful. As an actor, my days can get quite busy with shoots and work, so moments like these give me a chance to pause, feel grateful and reconnect with myself. I believe that faith gives us strength, hope and the courage to keep moving forward, and that is something I carry with me in my everyday life. For me, visiting this temple is not just about seeking blessings; it is also about finding peace and thanking the Goddess for everything she has given me.”
For Ankita Bahuguna, the visit was even more meaningful as it gave her a chance to return to a place she had explored earlier, this time with a deeper understanding of its spiritual significance. She shared, “I have always loved exploring new places, and when I first came to Kolhapur after the shoot began, I visited the Mahalakshmi Temple. At that time, I explored the temple, but I did not know much about its history or the deep faith people have in Goddess Mahalakshmi. Now, coming back here during Navratri feels very special. I honestly feel that perhaps the Goddess herself called me back at the right time. There is so much faith and devotion attached to this temple, and experiencing it during Navratri makes the visit even more meaningful. I feel truly blessed to be here again, especially during such an auspicious time. . I love discovering the stories and traditions connected to the places I visit because they help me understand the culture and beliefs of that place better. This visit has also reminded me that sometimes, we may visit a place without knowing its full significance, but life brings us back when we are ready to experience it in a different way. I am grateful that I got this opportunity, and I hope to carry the Goddess’s blessings, positivity and good energy with me wherever I go.”
