Jalandhar, April 11, 2022: The theatre is certainly a place for learning about the brevity of human glory and this experience was provided to the students of CT Group by the Department of Applied Sciences in association with the Division of Student Welfare and Cultural department. The enactment of the play was in association with prominent theatre group Junoon Theatre. The play was written and directed by renowned writer Amit Sharma.

About the play, Amit Sharma said, “The title of the play was "Sangharini" - a symbolic of Goddess Durga, the Goddess of Nemesis for the Demons and wrong doers, likewise this play showcased that a woman is an incarnation of Goddess Durga who has to be self empowered against the atrocities like eve-teasing, sexual exploitation at work place, domestic violence, discrimination between a girl child and a male child etc. She has to stand against all these tyrannies just like Goddess Durga did. The message of this one act play was very much logical, heart throbbing and shaking.”
The play was a feast of eyes for the audience.

CT Group Managing Director Dr. Manbir Singh appreciated the work of theater artists and said that such stage plays are very fruitful in explaining meaningful messages to the masses.
