Rohtak, March 11, 2026: The web series "Jaalimpur," starring alumni of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of the Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, will be released on the OTT platform "Chaupal" on Thursday, March 12th. Based on a Haryanvi background, this web series will showcase the powerful performances of university alumni Ashish Nehra and Mukesh Musafir.
Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha congratulated both alumni on their achievement and encouraged them to continue bringing glory to the university.
FC of the Department of Film and Television Mahesh TP said that Ashish Nehra is an alumnus of the first batch of 2011 in screenwriting and direction, and Mukesh Musafir is an alumnus of the 2012 batch in acting. Ashish Nehra and Mukesh Musafir have previously demonstrated their acting prowess in various film projects. In "Jaalimpur," both actors will present a fresh story and powerful performances to Haryanvi OTT audiences.
Ashish and Mukesh said that the nuances they learned during the course at SUPVA are proving useful in the film industry and real life. They have achieved their current position not only through their own hard work but also through the significant contribution of SUPVA. They explained that this web series, set in a Haryanavi background, will present an engaging portrayal of village politics, social conflicts, and the complexities of local life.
Notably, Ashish Nehra has previously impressed audiences with his acting in 'DJ Wale Babu', 'Kudi Haryana Wal Di', 'Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar', 'Doojvar', 'Dehleez', 'Kaand 2010', while the films directed by him, 'Pinjare Ki Titliyan' and 'Ghar Ki Baat', have received awards at several film festivals. Similarly, Mukesh Musafir has also showcased his acting earlier in films like 'Malaal', 'Lakshmi', 'Crime Haryana', 'College Kaand', 'Kaand 2010'.
