This Diwali, get ready to groove alongside the awaited dance extravaganza, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, on Sony Entertainment Television! Comedian Rajiv Thakur, who has enthralled everyone with his impeccable comedy, is all set to try his hand at dancing on the phenomenal stage of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Leaving everyone surprised, the ace comedian who claims to be a non-dancer, will set the stage on fire with his performance to the song ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ with choreographer, Suchitra Sawant. Complimenting the act, Judge Farah Khan said, “Who said you are a non-dancer, my friend? You’re a good dancer with excellent moves, perfectly in sync with the beat, you remembered all the steps, had high energy levels, and your expressions were on point. By calling yourself a non-dancer, you are fooling yourself. Suchitra, a very well-choreographed act. You used his strength, which is comedy, and made this a highly entertaining act. Rajiv, I hope you go ahead in the competition because I feel you can improve a lot. You have that rhythm in you, and it's a very, very good start.”

Speaking about his journey, Rajiv Thakur says, “I am not used to the spotlight. Usually, when a child is born at home, the spotlight is on them. But, when I was born, there were already 6 children in my family, so I wasn’t in the spotlight even then. I first came to Mumbai for a reality show, and when a child from any town comes and gets selected, the entire media and the city come to cover that child, especially if they become a finalist. Four finalists from our town came together, and even the runner-up, 1st runner-up and the 2nd runner-up were from our town. All the phenomenal talent was launched that year. After the show, when we returned and got off at the airport, we thought we'd come after the finale of a big show on Indian television, so people would be jumping with joy to welcome us. But, when we reached there, we saw that everyone had gone behind the winner, and we were left standing there (laughs). So, even on that day I didn’t get any spotlight, but I am happy that now, with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the spotlight is on me. And I hope to do my best.”

Listening to this, Farah Khan said, “The time has changed; the spotlight is on you now, Rajiv.” Not only this, Rajeev’s close friend and ex-participant of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Kiku Sharda, will be seen in the episode as Bacha Yadav to support Rajeev and he’ll give him quirky tips to ace his dance moves.
