Shatak Trailer Launch: The Untold Story of 100 Years of the RSS
Mumbai (Anil Bedag): The much-awaited trailer of Shatak: 100 Years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was launched today in Mumbai with great ceremony. More than just a film trailer release, the event marked a significant moment in the centenary year of the RSS, presenting its ideological and social journey through the powerful medium of cinema.
The trailer was unveiled by senior RSS pracharak and Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal member Dr. Manmohan Ji Vaidya, in the presence of several distinguished guests. His presence added gravitas to the occasion and underscored the film’s intent to approach its subject with seriousness, research, and balance. Prior to the launch, a special preview was organized for select media representatives, offering deeper insight into the film’s vision and purpose.
With the RSS completing 100 years in 2025, Shatak places itself against a historical backdrop that has deeply influenced India’s social, cultural, and ideological landscape. The film aims to move beyond perceptions and surface-level debates, exploring the organization’s evolution, ideas, and continuity.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Manmohan Ji Vaidya said that Shatak would help convey the Sangh’s journey to society in an impactful way, highlighting its uninterrupted growth and relevance. Director Ashish Mall described the film as deeply personal, born out of extensive research and a desire to address long-standing misconceptions. Producer Veer Kapoor added that the story is drawn from books and existing literature, woven together into a cinematic narrative.
Conceived by Anil D. Agarwal and directed by Ashish Mall, Shatak: 100 Years of the RSS is set to release in theatres on 19 February 2026.
