Nilokheri, June 18, 2026: Yukt-dhara is a significant geo-spatial planning tool that assists Gram Panchayats in better planning development works, ensuring the optimal use of resources, and maintaining transparent monitoring. Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, Director of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development (HIRD), expressed these views while addressing participants at a training program focused on Yukt-dhara. He stated that rural development schemes could be made more effective and result-oriented through modern technology, and Yukt-dhara represents a crucial initiative in this direction.

HIRD Director, Dr. Chauhan emphasized that, drawing inspiration from the great sacrifices and struggles in history, we should continuously contribute to nation-building and societal development. He paid tribute to the unparalleled sacrifice of the Fifth Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji, on his martyrdom day. Additionally, he commemorated the indomitable courage and self-respect of the valiant Maharana Pratap on the 450th anniversary of the victory at Haldighati and respectfully remembered the valor and patriotism of Rani Lakshmibai on her martyrdom day.

Program Coordinator Kamaldeep Sangwan provided detailed information to the participants regarding the concept and utility of the geo-information system and its importance in Panchayat development plans. During the training, Vedmuni Mishra explained the VB-G Ramji scheme, noting that the employment provision under the scheme had been increased from 100 days to 125 days. Meanwhile, Varun Sivach provided information on the utility of the Yukt-dhara portal and its implementation at the Panchayat level. Tinku Chopra highlighted various aspects related to rural employment and the promotion of livelihoods.

Also present on this occasion were Wazir Singh; Anil Kumar, Saurabh Arora, Manisha, Tanishka, and Arpita as well as Additional Block Programme Officers and participants from the Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri districts.
