The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet Launches the State-of-the-Art Science Theme Park to Foster Curiosity and Scientific Temper

Hyderabad, August 27, 2026: The Hyderabad Public School (HPS), Begumpet, has reinforced its commitment to experiential and hands-on learning with the launch of a state-of-the-art Science Theme Park, transforming the school campus into a dynamic outdoor classroom where science can be seen, experienced, explored and questioned.
The Science Theme Park was inaugurated and appreciated by Prof. Dorairajan Balasubramanian, distinguished Padma Shri Awardee. Bringing together Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Space Science and Engineering, the Science Theme Park features 50 interactive exhibits and working models that turn classroom concepts into hands-on learning experiences. Highlights include Newton’s Third Law, Pythagoras Theorem, Periscope, Conservation of Energy, Arch Bridge, 3D DNA Model, and PSLV and GSLV models. The park is complemented by nearly 17 indoor exhibits, covering phenomena such as optics, electromagnetism, magnetism, electricity and molecular motion, creating an engaging environment for experiential scientific learning.
Speaking on the launch inaugration, Dr. Skand Bali, Principal, The Hyderbad Public School, Begumpet said, “The Science Theme Park is an extension of our belief that education becomes truly meaningful when children are given the freedom to explore, question and discover. We wanted to create a space where scientific concepts move beyond textbooks and become experiences that students can see, touch and engage with. By bringing science into the open, we hope to nurture curiosity, critical thinking and a genuine scientific temperament in our students, making learning an exciting part of everyday life.”

The Science Theme Park has been designed around a simple yet powerful learning cycle: Observe → Question → Predict → Explore → Discover → Explain. Through this approach, students are encouraged not merely to arrive at answers, but to observe carefully, ask questions, seek evidence, test ideas and revise their understanding.
