The Festive Lane at Hotel Mount View on October 29, over 45 exhibitors to be present

Chandigarh, October 27, 2021: The Festive Lane (TFL) exhibition is all  set to present unique collections of start-ups that were created amid the tense COVID-19 times. The products made by the young founders are quite different. The exhibition will be different from others also because  of intricate embroidery based designer wear & handmade products from all across the country. Kashmiri embroidery based designer wear, mul mul fabric based attires , Banarsi suits etc are coming from all over India  TFL will be held in the lawns of Hotel Mount View on October 29. Over 45 exhibitors will be present.
 
   
Renowned label ‘Rampur Ke Gharaare’,  90- year old Harbhajan Kaur with her besan barfi , Rusky and Ritu from Kashmir with ‘Tilla’ and ‘Zari’ Kashmiri style collections will be adding a scintillating aura to the showcase. The exhibition will be a unique amalgamation of traditional Indian handicraft based products made using intricate embroidery and motifs and new age creations.
 
“It will not be a run-of-the-mill kind of exhibition but a rare occasion where young talents, who were shaped up by odds and challenges caused by COVID-19, will be showcasing their innate talent through their offerings. It is a must visit for all,” said exhibition’s curator Rashmi Bindra, a fashion, textile and interior designer and a cancer survivor. "We have chosen an outdoor setting for TFL as it gives much more shoulder space than interiors and also for safety reasons in the COVID era." Added Rashmi. 
 
In the startups exhibiting ‘Picaro,’ a brainchild of young Anushca Bindra and her partner Sakshi Singla, tie and dye quirky western wear will be presented . Picaro was started in November last year.
       
FROM HOME GROWN JEWELLERY TO PAINTED SHOES 
 
The exhibition will offer an interesting variety , with home grown jewellery and accessory designers, bakers, painted shoes, gluten-free herbs and more. There will be home-made soaps, pottery, lots of plants with lovely pots, and gift hampers for Diwali.
 
If you are looking for home decor, this exhibition is the right place to visit. There will be lovely suits, Banarasi dupattas, mulmul, and organza sarees. The showcase will offer  a true amalgamation of traditional, ethnic and western wear.
 
 
 
MEET SOME EXHIBITORS
 
Apart from Anushca, some other young founders of unique startups also interacted with the media. Sukhmani, who with 'Sage' is into  Crystals , Candles & Tarot Card Reading, interacted with the media about her initiative. Soham Tuteja & Vatsal Mishra, Founders of  Outlavvs, were also present at the press meet and they gave details about their sneaker customisation company.  Akriti Sharma founder of 'Cafe hearts baker'  too shared details about her baking startup. Shivansh Sharma, Tejasvi Verma, & Sharang Sharma, Founders of Bloom Coffee Roasters also interacted on their novel business idea related to coffee.
 
 
Alongside newly established designers renowned names will also be there. Bupesh Saini will bring a lovely collection of lehengas and suits in mirror work. Rashmi Bindra has pitched in, working hard during the pandemic on painting sarees, dupattas and lehengas, and adding sequence work on them. Jutties from Radhika Gupta from Dehradun too will be there!
 
Jyoti Khosla’s Zephyr, Mitu Monga’s ‘Ru Ba Ru,’ Bubli Jewelers, cardigans, home knitted caps, baby sets by the name of ‘Kaseedakari’ and ‘Nani Ki Bunaai’ by Santosh Juneja will be showcased.
 
A special project 'Helping Feet Initiative' will see a young boy Sumeir collecting money to help get shoes for those in need by selling the collections of stalls hand-picked by him. The NGOs' partnering with TFL are Sahayta Charitable Welfare Society and Paree Foundation.
