The Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, successfully organised its annual sports festival for the academic session 2025–26 under the aegis of the Commerce Association and the Business Club. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and stood as a vibrant example of sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.

Jalandhar, February 3, 2026: The Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, successfully organised its annual sports festival for the academic session 2025–26 under the aegis of the Commerce Association and the Business Club. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and stood as a vibrant example of sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.

The sports festival was organised under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Rachpal Singh Sandhu, while the overall framework and planning of the event were meticulously designed by the conveners, Prof. Amita Shaheed and Dr. Raminder Bhatia. Their coordinated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the festival.

A wide range of competitive and recreational events were organised, including Kho-Kho, Tug of War, Cricket, Fun and Fitness (Hurdle Race), Lemon Run, 100 Metre Run, and the Three-Legged Race. Students participated with great zeal and energy, making the festival lively and memorable.

Faculty members Prof. Ravneet Bains, Prof. Vivek Mahajan, Dr. Ubiqe Bedi, Dr. Navdeep Kumar, Prof. Manish Goel, Dr. Jyoti Vohra, Prof. Vineet Gupta, Prof. Kiratpreet, Prof. Harpreet, Prof. Navpreet, Prof. Bhawna, and Prof. Meghna played a significant role in ensuring the success of the event. The Department of Physical Education also contributed immensely by providing sports equipment and essential logistical support.

The sports festival concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the values of sportsmanship, physical fitness, and holistic development among students.
