The 44th North Zone Orthopedic Association concludes; Dr. Roop Singh is the new NZOACON President
The 44th North Zone Orthopedic Association (NZOACON) 2026, a three-day annual conference organized by the Department of Orthopedics at Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, concluded on Sunday.

Rohtak, February 15, 2026: The 44th North Zone Orthopedic Association (NZOACON) 2026, a three-day annual conference organized by the Department of Orthopedics at Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, concluded on Sunday.
During the conference, Dr. Roop Singh, Head of the Department of Orthopedics, PGIMS was unanimously elected President of the North Zone. Expressing gratitude for this responsibility, Dr. Roop Singh said that he would make every effort to further improve medical services in the region. He said that during his tenure, he would expand the activities of the Orthopedic Department and adopt the latest technologies.
In addition, Dr. Ashish Devgan was elected Vice President of the North Zone. Dr. Jitendra Wadhwani was appointed the Haryana State Member for the North Zone.
Dr. Umesh Yadav said that the objective of this conference was to bring together orthopedic specialists to exchange knowledge and experiences. During the conference, various research papers were discussed and future medical plans were also deliberated upon.
On the last day of the conference; knee replacement, spinal TB, treatment of TB through telescope and treatment of shoulder injury were discussed in detail. Dr. Puneet Yadav got first place in the best paper competition, Dr. Sagnik and Dr. Nikhil got second place and Dr. Amrit Pal got third place. Dr. Akash and Dr. Palak got first place in the PG quiz competition. Dr. Pradeep Kamboj and Dr. Hemant Mor presented the vote of thanks.
