The 31th Inter-School Declamation Contest organized by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust
The 31th Inter-School Declamation Contest was organized by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust at its Panday Auditorium to commemorate the 62nd death anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. The contest, like every year, received an overwhelming response from the schools in Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, May 11, 2026: The 31th Inter-School Declamation Contest was organized by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust at its Panday Auditorium to commemorate the 62nd death anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. The contest, like every year, received an overwhelming response from the schools in Ludhiana.
The contest was held in three languages – English, Hindi & Punjabi. 54 Students from 27 Schools vied with each other for the Nehru Championship Trophy and the first three positions. Students spoke with zest and expressed their views confidently on burning topics of day to day interest like “The Cost of Silence in the face of Injustice”, “Why Failure is the most essential part of success”, “The paradox of social media making us more lonely”. “Childhood lost in the race for success – Competition vs. Balance” “There is no alternative to hard work – the real path to success” "War is not a solution to problems, it is a scourge of humanity", "Why is there corruption in Punjabi culture" etc.
While welcoming the Judges & the participants, their teachers, Sunil Gupta, Vice President, of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust spoke about the social, educational & charitable activities of the Nehru Sidhant Trust. He said that the topics of the declamation were very well selected and covered all the burning issues of the day. The other members present on the occasion were G L Bassi, Treasures and Ashwani Sharma, Advisor.
The judges, drawn from local colleges of the city, adjudged the contestants from various schools. They had a tough time assessing the performance of the students as the competition was very stiff. The results are given below: -

Prizes to the winners of Inter-School Declamation Contest will be given by the Chief Guest, Swapan Sharma, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana at the Annual Scholarship Distribution Function to be held at 10:30 a.m. on 16th May, 2026 in Nehru Sidhant Kender Complex.
