Rohtak, April 7, 2026: A 10-day workshop was organized by the Department of Textile Design, under the Faculty of Design at the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, with the objective of imparting training in fashion styling and photography to students. Sixth-semester students of Textile Design participated in this workshop.
During the workshop, renowned fashion photographer Tarun Garg—an alumnus of both the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and the National Institute of Design (NID)—provided the students with practical training in fashion styling and photography, along with industry-specific guidance. He remarked that style is not merely about what one wears; rather, it is the medium through which one tells their story without uttering a single word. Every frame, he noted, captures one's confidence, attention to detail, and personality.
The HOD of the Textile Department, Anil Kumar said that the students explored various elements of fashion, creative styling, storytelling, and photography techniques, gaining an understanding of how fashion can serve as a means of expressing identity and boosting self-confidence. He expressed his gratitude to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya, Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, and the Faculty Coordinator of the Faculty of Design, Dr. Shelly Khanna, for their continuous encouragement and guidance
