Wagle Ki Duniya is getting good response, can you tell us the reason you chose this show?
I am elated to be a part of this iconic show and share screen space with such a stellar cast. The daily struggle of the common man is something most of us can relate to and to be a part of this ensemble is a great honor for me.
Share something about your character Mahadevi Tripathi ? How it is different from your earlier roles?
My character Mahadevi is here to inspire and nudge the Wagle household to make certain changes in their lives. Being a liberal and practical woman, I would say Mahadevi is ahead of her generation and truly cares for the well being of Vandana and Rajesh. She is here for a good cause and her presence itself will attract a lot of positive development for all the characters. I am very excited to play Mahadevi Tripathi and I am sure the audience will identify and love the character.
Anything you want to convey the viewers about the freshness of this show?
Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya has wooed the audience with relatable and responsible family drama since its inception. The channel has always intended to produce content which contains value added messaging along with light-hearted entertainment and this messaging gets relayed through strong characters like Mahadevi Tripathi.
How was your shooting experience with your co-stars ?
I am having a fun time on the sets. Being a show of the struggles of a common man, most of the issues that are picked up are very relatable. Sharing the screen with Anjan ji has been a huge blessing for me. It comes to him so naturally! The performance, the dialogues, the politeness, and of course the never ending chit chats….
Having done a variety of roles in your career, are you now content as an actor?
I am very happy at the way my career is going. I have performed in films both Indian and international, TV, ad films and have tried to cover all aspects of acting in my career span.
Having explored different genres which one did you enjoy the most?
Every genre is unique in its own way and I like working in each one of them.
How would you rate your satisfaction level at this stage of your career?
I am very satisfied with the way things have shaped up. I have also received awards like the Rocking Women’s Excellence Award from the Ulka Foundation in 2019. I am glad that my fans have a laid a lot of trust in me.

I like travelling and shopping…
