Hyderabad: The conventional Sankranti Sammelanam by Telugu Sangamam was held at OM Convention, Narsinghi, Hyderabad. Eminent personalities from different fields such as Politics, Cinema, Business and sports were present at the event. Also, many senior IAS and IRS officer’s attended the event. Hon’ble Governor of Telangana Smt. Tamilisai Soundarajan and Governor of Himachal Pradesh Sri.Bandaru Dattatreya were the chief guests of the event. Shri P. Murlidhar Rao, National General Secretary (BJP) is the founder Telugu Sangamam . He played an active role in bringing together all the personalities on a single stage. Telugu Sangamam has been doing amazing work in promoting the greatness of Telugu Heritage and Culture. The event had many cultural program’s which were really artistic and colorful.
Governor of Telangana Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan while addressing the audience said that “ When I was informed about Telugu Sangamam Sankranthi Sammelanam , I rescheduled all my events to attend this great event. The spirit of Sankranthi is same across various part of our country”.
Governor of Himachal Pradesh Sri.Bandaru Dattatreya said “ I would like to appreciate Shri. P. Murlidhar Rao Garu for promoting Telugu Heritage and Culture. Telugu literature has great pieces of art that can enlighten each one of us. Also, I must mention about Shri. Krishnam Raju (Telugu Film Actor) and Sri. Sirivennela ( Lyricist) for their contribution to Telugu Cine Industry”.
Shri P. Murlidhar Rao, National General Secretary (BJP) while addressing the gathering mentioned “ I would like to welcome all the eminent personalities from various walks of life who have come today for the event. I must mention Sri. Krishnam Raju and Sri.Sirivennela for their outstanding contribution to Telugu Movies. Telugu is a very beautiful language. There is a great resource of literature and poetry in our language”.
There were many guests at the event. The list includes Sri. Raghurama Krishnam Raju , (Member of Parliament), Sri.Motukupalli Narasimhulu Sri.Kambampati Ram Mohan , Sri. Dinesh Reddy, ( Ex-DGP), Dr.Kamineni Srinivas (Former Health Minister, Andhra Pradesh), Sri. Rameshwar Rao ( Founder, My home group), Sri.Prabhakar Rao (Nuziveedu Seeds), Sri.V.Chamundeswaranath (Ex. Cricketer and Co-owner Mumbai Master’s) . From film Fraternity the guests included Smt.Kavitha , Sri. B.Gopal, Sri.Gopal Reddy
As part of its activity, Telugu Sangamam has been organizing Sankranti Sammelanam over the last 4 years in Hyderabad where more than 2500 prominent people representing all sections of the society come together to celebrate various aspects of Telugu Culture which including Telugu delicacies. Many prominent achievers along with their families from the field of Industry, Public Service, Government Service, Cinema, Artists, Legal Luminaries, etc. The rich culture of Telugu and its various art forms including literature, music, dance, folk arts, food and clothing are presented at this get together. Many prominent artists like Smt. Deepika Reddy, Sri Medasani Mohan, Sri Gangadhar Sastry, Sri Sai Kumar, just to name a few were involved and have performed at this event.
