Hyderabad, June 15, 2026: The Indian Institute of Interior Designers – Hyderabad Regional Chapter (IIID-HRC), a leading platform for architects, interior designers, trade professionals and educators, will host the 6th edition of its flagship biennial exhibition, IIID Showcase Insider X 2026, from June 19 to 21, 2026, at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad.
The three-day event will be inaugurated by A. Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, who will also unveil the Exhibitor Directory. Ar. Jignesh Modi, President, Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID), will attend as the Guest of Honour.
The showcase is expected to attract more than 6,000 business visitors, including architects, interior designers, builders, consultants, trade partners and students from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, other parts of India and overseas.
Spread across 80,000 sq. ft., the exhibition will feature more than 150 exhibitors and over 300 leading brands, showcasing the latest products, materials, technologies and solutions for residential and commercial interiors. It will feature Design Street: a specially curated runway-style exhibition corridor. Knowledge Sessions and International Keynotes: expert-led sessions on emerging trends and innovations. Sthapatya Utsav: a dedicated student engagement platform featuring workshops, competitions and interactive learning experiences. Together, these features will offer a comprehensive view of the trends and innovations shaping the future of architecture, interiors and the built environment.
Ar. N. Praveen Kumar said that IIID Showcase Insider X 2026 will be inaugurated by Sri A. Revanth Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, on June 19th. He noted that design is one of the most powerful forces shaping modern society and the country’s economic growth, influencing how people live, work, learn, heal and connect. He added that Hyderabad has emerged as a vibrant center of creativity, entrepreneurship, technology and design, and that the showcase serves as a confluence of ideas, talent, innovation and industry that will help shape the future of design.
Ar. Rakesh Vasu C.S. said that Insider X has grown over the years into one of India’s most anticipated design events, and that the 2026 edition is expected to surpass previous editions in scale, content and visitor experience. Speaking about the role of Artificial Intelligence, Ar. Vasu noted that AI has significantly influenced both the profession and the industry in recent years, particularly in the post-COVID period. He said AI-enabled tools have improved efficiency, strengthened design technology and helped professionals translate creative ideas into functional and sustainable solutions with greater speed and precision. He added that AI allows designers to incorporate client feedback quickly and present multiple design variations in real time. Its impact is also visible in, home automation, from lighting and sanitary systems to gate movement, with several new innovations continuing to emerge.
Ar. Vasu said there is a significant shortage of architects and interior designers in the country, even as demand for trained professionals continues to grow. He urged the State and Central Governments to increase the number of professional colleges offering architecture courses and to encourage engineering institutions to mandatorily include architecture course among their academic programs. He also emphasized the importance of introducing design awareness at the school level, as is done in several countries abroad. According to him, architecture students today have growing opportunities in India and overseas, including in corporate roles focused on improving the design value of home interior products and developing new innovations. These opportunities, he noted, also offer promising career prospects and competitive starting salaries. Ar. Vasu appealed to the Government of Telangana to establish a state-of-the-art Design Excellence Centre to support and encourage the design profession and the wider design community. He further suggested that governments should appoint architects in departments where design plays a critical role. This, he said, would help prevent design-related errors, reduce the risk of mishaps and avoid costs arising from poor design decisions.
Ar. Naveen Chalasani said that Insider X will present a wide range of innovations, including modern design trends, sustainable practices and home automation solutions. He noted that as India rapidly transforms to compete with the global design industry, the platform will help professionals build the competence needed to meet international standards.
Ar. Pallavi Anchuri said that Insider X is among the most anticipated design events in the Telugu states. She added that architects from across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, as well as from neighboring states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka and Odisha, are expected to attend in large numbers, along with participants from across India. She also noted that a Corporate Meet will bring together national heads from the trade sector.
Ar. Amita Raj said that the event is expected to draw around 25,000 visitors over three days, including architects from across India. She said the showcase will celebrate design and craftsmanship through Design Street, a specially curated space, and will include student-focused workshops aimed at encouraging future designers.
Ramesh Patel said the exhibition will showcase several innovations, new ideas and products, opening fresh design possibilities for architects and interior designers.
The event details were announced at a press conference held today at B-Hub by Ar. N. Praveen Kumar, Chairperson, IIID-HRC (2025–2027); Ar.
