Chandigarh, April 24, 2026: A workshop on industry-ready technologies for adoption, jointly organised by the Mohali Industries Association (MIA) and DST–Technology Enabling Centre (DST-TEC), Panjab University, Chandigarh, at Sector 75, S.A.S. Nagar, Punjab.
The session was presided over by Vivek Kapoor, Senior Vice President, Mohali Industries Association, and Director, JAL, who emphasised the importance of industry–academia collaboration for accelerating technology adoption and innovation.
The meet brought together scientists, researchers, and startups to showcase cutting-edge, industry-ready technologies. Key sectors covered included Industry 4.0, energy monitoring and efficiency, automation, water and effluent treatment, PET recycling, nanomaterials, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Industries showed strong interest in Industry 4.0, nanomaterials, AI, automation, and water treatment technologies, highlighting the growing demand for smart, sustainable, and efficient industrial solutions.
Around 25 industry representatives actively participated in the session, engaging with technology developers and exploring collaboration and deployment opportunities. In addition, around 12 key industry challenges (pain points) were identified from the participating members, seeking academic and technical expertise for viable solutions.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion, reinforcing the commitment to strengthen industry–academia linkages and promote technology commercialization.
