Middle Weight Boxer Kailash of LPU defeated Ravi Shankar of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, Varanasi during pre quarter finals of AIIU Boxing Championship at LPU today.

Jalandhar, February 27, 2015: Near 950 men boxers are continuously displaying technology based boxing bouts at Lovely Professional University for All India Inter University Boxing Championship-2015.  Near 400 bouts have been fought so far for 10 weight categories fixed for the championship. With the semi finals & finals fast approaching on 3rd & 4th March 2015 fierce fights are increasing day by day. Supporters of the boxers from their respective universities and areas are motivating the boxers to beat their opponents in the very first round of the bout. LPU boxers are continuously excelling their competitors. Kailash of LPU defeated Ravi Shankar of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, Varanasi. Chief Observer from Association of Universities Dr JS Kajal appreciated both the bouts and the boxers for adoption of international level techniques, agility and intelligence.
Observing bouts scientifically, Dr Kajal shared: “Like great academicians, boxers too are genius of their fields. A boxer is extraordinarily active in rings with complete physical fitness based on speed, flexibility, strength and stamina. Dividing his/her strength into explosive power and endurance, a boxer develops agility by combining all these traits technologically to defeat his opponent. A Boxer utilizes the right usage of knuckles, fists and reflexive time to win over the rival. As such, boxers too have to learn and practice a lot about the techniques of the game, and this learning makes them a scholar of their field. More intelligent a boxer is, more of the winning chances are for him/her.”
