Technical Education Institutions are playing pivotal role in shaping the future of our nation : VC Dr. Susheel Mittal

Sri Amritsar Sahib/Jalandhar/Kapurthala, October 26, 2023: Technical educational institutions encourage skill development in the state & nation. Technical educational institutions are making the young generation not employment seekers, but employment providers. In this situation, it is the responsibility of the parents of secondary school going students, school education authorities, school principals to connect the young generation with the technical educational institutions around them and encourage them to enroll in technical education courses for their bright future. This is the base of development. These are the words of Dr. Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor of the state's biggest technical university, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU). VC Dr. Mittal was addressing the seminar organized at Sri Amritsar Sahib Campus of the University as the chief guest.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Amritsar Campus, organized a seminar aimed at shedding light on the "Future Career Prospects in Technical Education." The event brought together esteemed Principals of Government Senior Secondary Schools in the Amritsar District to explore the exciting horizons of technical education and the endless possibilities it offers to our youth.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Arora, Director IKGPTU Amritsar Campus. Prof. Arora extended a heartfelt welcome to the distinguished guests, esteemed participants, and the Chief Guest,  Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal.
 
In first session, in his address, VC Dr. Mittal emphasized the pivotal role that educational institutions play in shaping the future of our nation. He commended the Principals as the guiding lights and captains of these institutions, acknowledging the tremendous potential they hold to inspire, nurture, and lead the young minds of tomorrow towards brighter and more promising futures. Prof. Mittal stressed the importance of motivating students, emphasizing that motivation is the driving force that leads individuals to success.

The seminar featured Prof. (Dr.) Satvir Singh as the resource person, who provided valuable insights into career prospects in Technical Education. Smt. Neelam Mahey, Deputy Director of the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Amritsar, shared her perspective on the importance of experiential learning for students.
Sh. Sushil Kumar Tuli, the District Education Officer, also graced the occasion with his presence.

The event was honoured by the participation of several distinguished individuals, including S. Tirath Pal Singh, Deputy CEO of the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, S. Jasbir Singh Gill, District Career Guidance Counsellor, and Sh. Gaurav Kumar, Career Counsellor of the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises.

Prof. (Dr.) Amit Sarin, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants for their active involvement and support. The seminar saw the presence of Saurabh Sharma, Deputy Registrar IKGPTU Amritsar Campus, and the dedicated faculty members of the institution.
