Technical Education Department stops admission process in 23 private ITIs

Chandigarh, August 26, 2013: The Technical Education Department of Punjab government has stopped the admission process in 23 private ITIs affiliated with National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and case for cancellation of their affiliation has been forwarded to DGET.

Disclosing this here today, Anil Joshi, Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister, Punjab said that admission has been temporarily   stopped in 23 NCVT affiliated Private ITIs and notice has been given after deficiencies pointed out by the Principals/Inspecting Officers regarding poor training standard, shortage of Machinery/Equipment/Staff and Shifting of Building etc.

He said that the private ITIs whose admission has been temporarily stopped are Guru Gobind Singh I.T.I. Village Ubhewal, Sangrur, Mata Gujri I.T.C. Patran, Malwa I.T.C. Mandi Harji Ram, Malout , Sri Mukatsar Sahib. Kalgidhar I.T.C. Malout, Bibi Bhani ITC, Moga,  Guru Nanak Dev ITC, Model Town, Phase-2, Bathinda. Maharishi Vishwamitters ITC, Street No. 20, Bathinda, Sahibzada Ajit Singh ITC, Near Truck Union Bhagta Bhai Ka, Tehsil Phul, Distt. Bathinda, Dabwali Private ITI, Talwandi Sabo, Distt. Bathinda, D.P.D ITC Zira, Zira, Distt. Ferozepur, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Pvt.
