Teacher’s Day celebrated to express love and gratitude towards their teachers

Chandigarh, September 6, 2022: Every year 5th September is celebrated throughout India as teacher’s day to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, the 2nd president of India. In lieu of this the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated teacher’s day in the department to express love and gratitude towards their teachers. The event started with the traditional lighting of the lamp, this was followed by different games and cultural performances in which both the teachers and the students participated with full zeal. As a token of respect and love to the teachers the students took an oath to abstain from using drugs. Dr. Deepak K. Rahi, Chairman, also addressed the students and made them to take a vow that they will help atleast one underprivileged child in its education. The program ended with a thank you note which was delivered by Prof. Vijay Prabha the organizer of today’s program.
