TB Mukt Bharat Drive Intensifies in Ludhiana with 100-Day Active Case Finding Campaign

Under the ongoing 100 Days Active Case Finding (ACF) Campaign as part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, multiple screening camps were conducted across Ludhiana district to ensure early detection and timely treatment of tuberculosis.

Ludhiana, April 23, 2026: Under the ongoing 100 Days Active Case Finding (ACF) Campaign as part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, multiple screening camps were conducted across Ludhiana district to ensure early detection and timely treatment of tuberculosis.
An ACF camp was organized at OAT Center, Ludhiana (Urban Block), where free chest X-ray screening and sputum sample collection were carried out for individuals at risk.
Subsequently, similar camps were conducted at Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) Alamgir and HWC Jaswal (High-Risk Areas) under Sahnewal Rural Block, focusing on vulnerable populations.
Continuing the efforts, an ACF camp was held at HWC Dhandra (High-Risk Area), Sahnewal Rural Block, further strengthening active surveillance in the district.
These camps are part of the Government of India’s vision of a TB-free India, aiming at early identification and prompt management of cases through community-based screening initiatives.
The district administration reiterated its commitment towards eliminating tuberculosis and informed that more such ACF camps will be conducted throughout the month under the TB Mukt Bharat initiative to cover maximum population and high-risk groups.
