Tarn Taran, November 14, 2025: Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, Senior Vice President of the Shiromani Akali Dal and in-charge of the Khadoor Sahib constituency, termed the party’s impressive performance in the Tarn Taran by-election as “the defeat of opponents and the victory of Panthic ideology.” He paid tribute to the tireless efforts of party president Sukhbir Singh Badal and to the dedication of all the Taksali and Akali workers, who worked day and night to keep the party flag flying high.
Issuing a press statement, Brahmpura said that this result is a tight slap in the face of all those forces that were weaving deep conspiracies to weaken the Akali Dal. He said, “On one side, the AAP government openly indulged in high-handedness and shameless misuse of government machinery, and on the other side, there were those divisive forces that created self-made factions to cause rifts in Punjab and the Panth.”
He said that despite all these challenges, the Shiromani Akali Dal securing the second position is not a defeat for them; rather, it is a moral defeat of those forces that are plundering Punjab. Brahmpura asserted that this result is a strong indication of the Akali government that will be formed in 2027 under the leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal. It has proven that the people of Punjab are once again looking towards the Akali Dal with hope and have rejected the false narrative of “change.”
Brahmpura praised the tireless efforts of the party president and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all Taksali and Akali workers and the wise voters of Tarn Taran, who, despite difficult circumstances, have once again expressed faith in the Shiromani Akali Dal.
With full confidence and prediction, he said that the Tarn Taran result is the beginning of a major victory in 2027. Encouraging the workers, he said that preparations for 2027 should begin from today. He expressed faith that under the strong leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal, the Shiromani Akali Dal will make a powerful comeback in Punjab in 2027 and will form the government to put Punjab back on the path of progress.
