Tanda Medical College doctors performed duties on Sunday to pay tribute to Vajpayee
Dharamshala, August 19, 2018: The doctors of Dr RPG Medical College at Tanda worked on Sunday today to compensate the working of two holidays of 17th and 18th so that the patients should not suffer. Dr Bhanu Awasthi Principal of Dr RPG Medical College at Tanda said, “In order to enable the people of the state to pay their last respects to the former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the state Government declared public holiday on 17th and 18th of August 2018 as a mark of respect to the departed soul. The family of Dr RPGMC Kangra at Tanda has joined the nation in its mourning and pay tributes to this great leader.” Dr Awasthi added, “As per the directions of the Health Minister, Government of Himachal Pradesh, we took -up of the elective surgeries which were scheduled earlier on 17th August (due to holiday) on 19th August (Sunday) in the public interest. It was a real tribute to this great leader by the staff of the institution and 13 major surgeries were performed by running 5 routine operation theatres today.”
