Taj Chandigarh Reinforces Responsible Hospitality, Marks Four Years of Paathya with Bharat EkSaath Walkathon

Chandigarh, March 22, 2026: Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, continues to advance its sustainability and social impact agenda through Paathya, its ESG+(Environmental, Social & Governance) framework.
Marking its fourth year, IHCL reinforced its commitment to responsible tourism with Bharat EkSaath Walkathon -Chandigarh edition, an inclusive 3 km walk bringing together associates, their families, local partners, vendors and community across 14 countries in over 200 locations. The funds raised through the walkathon support the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust (TPSWT), reinforcing IHCL’s approach to social impact.
Highlighting the importance of health and community well-being, chief guest Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Chandigarh, said, “Such initiatives encourage community participation while promoting health, awareness and a shared commitment towards social good.” He also encouraged participants to include running in their schedule, reinforcing the message of staying active while fostering a sense of community engagement.

The walkathon witnessed participation from around 250 fitness enthusiasts, who came together in support of the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust (TPSWT) through this initiative. The event aimed to encourage collective participation while contributing towards the Trust’s ongoing community welfare efforts.
