Tagore Literary Society of Ramgarhia Girls College in association with Oriental Insurance Company Ltd create awareness against corruption

Ludhiana, October 30, 2019: To prepare the students to face the challenges of corruption an Essay Writing and Declamation Contest was organized by Tagore Literary Society, Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana in association with Oriental Insurance Company Limited on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned here that Oriental Insurance Company Limited is observing Vigilance Awareness week - 2019 from October 28, 2019 to November 2, 2019. Therefore, the motto of the contest was to educate students at large against corrupt practices and also educating them how to report about it.
Principal Dr.Inderjit Kaur accompanied by faculty of English Department gave floral welcome to Mr.Sukhwinder Singh Senior Divisional Manager, Mr.Ranjit Singh Behl, Assistant Manager, Mr.Atul Kapoor, Vigilance Officer, Regional Office, Chandigarh.
Mr.Atul Kapoor, administered an oath to students to work with integrity, working to protect oneself from corruption and to enhance dignity of human life. 20 students expressed their ideas on “Integrity- a way of life”.
On this occasion, Principal Dr.Inderjit Kaur, appreciated the efforts of Oriental Insurance Company Limited for making students aware about Corruption. To encourage the students, she quoted the words of eminent scientist Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam to use the bond of love that students share with their fathers’ makes homes corruption free.
S.Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council asserted that we all need to fight hard battle to improve our society. The ignited mind of the youth is the most powerful resource on the earth, under the earth and above the earth.
Mr.Sukhwinder Singh encouraged students by saying that one should fight the hardest battle of Corruption and not stop until one arrives at the goal.
Jasnoor Kaur, Prabhpreet Kaur and Veena stood I,II,III in Essay Writing Contest whereas Sudha Pal Charanpreet Kaur and Gurleen Kaur secured I,II,III positions in Declamation Contest.
The occasion came to its end with prize distribution to the winners.
