Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021-22: Punjab b Odisha by 60 runs in Elite Group-A league match

Mohali, November 8, 2021: Punjab State Senior Men’s Team played their fourth Inter-State match for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021-22 against Odisha at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow-U.P. Punjab won the match beating Odisha by 60 runs, thanks to some excellent batting by batsmen Prabhsimran Singh, Ramandeep Singh & Gurkeerat Mann.
Punjab won the toss and elected to bat first.  Batting first Punjab team scored 189 runs for loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Prabhsimran singh scored 40 runs off 34 balls with four boundaries and one six, Ramandeep Singh scored 54 runs off 23 balls with three boundaries and five sixes, Gurkeerat Mann scored 48 runs off 39 balls with two boundaries and two sixes were the main run getters for PCA. For Odisha Bishak K Rout claimed 2 wickets giving 34 runs.
Replying, Odisha Senior men’s team were able to score 129 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Abhishek Raut scored 74 runs off 56 balls with eight boundaries and one six was the main run getters for Odisha. For Punjab Team Mayank Markande claimed 2 wickets for 25 runs and Siddharth Kaul took 2 wickets for 34 runs. With this Win Punjab got 4 points
