Swachhatta Diwas celebrated in Doaba College

Jalandhar, October 3, 2023: NSS, NCC, Eco Club and Student Council of Doaba College Jalandhar celebrated “Swachhata Divas”. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Prof. Sonia Kalra, Prof. Surjit Kaur, Dr. Arshdeep Singh, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Prof. Rahul Bhardwaj, staff and students.

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari motivated students and faculty members to make a regular habit of maintaining cleanliness of their surroundings. He also stressed upon making city Garbage free.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar explained various government initiatives undertaken from time to time to maintain our surroundings clean and green. Dr. Narinder Kumar conducted a quiz, related to Environmental Cleanliness. Students and faculty members from different departments participated in the quiz. Dr. Ashwani Kumar discussed various projects undertaken by Eco Club of the college to maintain cleanliness in and outside college. Dr. Arshdeep Singh highlighted various activities of NSS department in promoting cleanliness drive in college.

A “Swachhata Walk” was also organized from Doaba College to the Doaba Chowk to aware residents and passer byes about maintaining our city clean. Departmental level cleanliness drive was also arranged in all the Departments of the college where classrooms and laboratories were cleaned by teachers and students. More than 500 students participated in the events
