SWACCH BHARAT MISSION: Punjab seeks compliance report from departments
Chandigarh, December 17, 2014: The Punjab Government has accelerated the activity of weeding out of obsolete record and proper maintenance & upkeep of record as part of Swacch Bharat Mission from all departments of the state. All the departments had earlier been instructed to weed out the redundant and obsolete record biting dust since decades now the Punjab Government has sought compliance report form all the departments.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the General Administration Department said that all the departments have been asked to explain the detail of record that has been weeded out and what kind of initiatives have been taken for the proper upkeep the record using scientific method and modern technology. The information sought must be in word format and to be emailed at [email protected].
The spokesperson said that the Punjab Government has taken this initiative to weed out old and obsolete record as a part of Swacch Bharat Mission launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He said that the compliance report thus received from all the department would be forwarded to the Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal for further action.
