SWA Wing of Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrated 72nd Republic Day with great enthusiasm

Jalandhar: The SWA Wing of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated 72nd Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra felt ecstatic for being able to celebrate it with students in the campus. Addressing the students, she put forth that patriotism should not invoke in her hearts on few occasions only but we should nurture this feeling throughout the year. While living and enjoying our lives, we should never forget our heroes at the borders securing our lives every moment. She added we ought to respect the freedom which we are enjoying today with utter sincerity as the price of it has been paid by many heroic warriors in the past. She also put forth that be it any field, our country is making developments at every front and the recent accomplishment is its contribution in the manufacturing of vaccination for COVID19.

On this occasion, the national flag was hosted in the campus while the students of Mr. Smarajit Kumar Sen played the tune of Vande Matram on Sitar. Under the aegis of Dr. Vivek Verma and Dr. Mandeep Singh from Department of Music Vocal, the students sung patriotic songs and the entire campus was flourishing with the feelings of patriotism. 

On this occasion, Dr. Sunit Kaur, Head of PG Department of English put across that if we treat the entire country as our own home, it would be so much more greener and cleaner and this will add to the glory of our nation.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the students and the organizers- Dr. Jagmohan Mago and Ms. Payal Arora and all the other faculty members for successfully organizing the event.
