Rohtak, April 27, 2026: The second convocation ceremony of the Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, is scheduled to be held on May 4th. The ceremony will be presided over by His Excellency the Governor and Chancellor, Prof. Aseem Kumar Ghosh. Prior to this, the university's first convocation ceremony was held in 2021. At this convocation—taking place after a gap of five years—degrees will be conferred upon 760 students who have successfully completed their graduation and post-graduation studies.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said that the Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, will grace the convocation ceremony as the Chief Guest. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda will be the Guest of Honor. The Vice-Chancellor further mentioned that 35 meritorious students will be awarded gold medals during the convocation. Additionally, 42 students from the 2018 batch of the Faculty of Film and Television will receive their degrees at this convocation. The degrees of these students had been pending due to the non-completion of their coursework. To facilitate the completion of their courses, the university administration had specifically planned a 100-day shooting schedule.

Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha informed that preparations are in full swing to make the convocation ceremony a memorable event. The university campus is being specially decorated for the occasion, and various committees have been constituted to ensure the success of the ceremony. All students and their guardians have been invited to be a part of the event. The Registrar highlighted that DLC SUPVA is the only government university of its kind in the country dedicated to provide quality education in arts and cultural studies, offering high-quality education in disciplines such as music, dance, drama, fine arts, planning and architecture, design, and visual arts etc. She said that this event is not only an opportunity to receive a degree but also a chance to honor the hard work and dedication of the students.
