SUPVA’s Fashion Styling Exhibition Showcases Student Innovation under Bollywood Designer
The Department of Fashion, Faculty of Design at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, today hosted an inspiring Fashion Styling Exhibition, mentored by Mohit Bajaj, acclaimed Bollywood Costume Designer and Fashion Stylist. The exhibition marked the culmination of the Fashion Styling module by final-year students, offering a vibrant display of creative exploration, conceptual depth, and professional finesse.
Rohtak, October 28, 2025: The Department of Fashion, Faculty of Design at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA), Rohtak, today hosted an inspiring Fashion Styling Exhibition, mentored by Mohit Bajaj, acclaimed Bollywood Costume Designer and Fashion Stylist. The exhibition marked the culmination of the Fashion Styling module by final-year students, offering a vibrant display of creative exploration, conceptual depth, and professional finesse.
The showcase reflected an intricate blend of creativity, research, and real-world fashion sensibility. Each student presented a distinctive thematic concept, translating individual interpretations of identity, culture, and aesthetics into expressive visual narratives. Through curated mood boards, thematic ensembles, and concept-based styling projects, the exhibition demonstrated how emerging designers are shaping the next wave of India’s fashion dialogue.
Mentor Mohit Bajaj, who has styled for some of Bollywood’s biggest productions, guided students to explore the emotional and narrative aspects of design. “Styling is about translating emotion into visual language — it’s where design meets attitude,” he said, encouraging students to balance creative expression with storytelling precision.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya commended the initiative, saying, “At DLC SUPVA, we focus on blending academic excellence with industry mentorship. Exhibitions like these provide our students with the confidence and perspective to connect design thinking with real-world fashion practice.”
Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha highlighted the varsity’s creative ecosystem: “Such platforms don’t just showcase student talent — they reflect the university’s culture of nurturing imagination through mentorship and interdisciplinary learning.”
Head, Faculty of Design, Dr. Shelly Khanna added, “With mentorship rooted in industry experience and a platform that celebrates originality, the Fashion Styling Exhibition truly embodied the ethos of Indian fashion.”
The event drew enthusiastic appreciation from faculty, peers, and visitors, reinforcing DLC SUPVA’s standing as a hub for creative innovation and industry-integrated design education.
