SUPVA VC and Registrar launch Posters of Convocation Ceremony and 'Abhivyanjana'
The poster for the second convocation ceremony and the 11th art exhibition 'Abhivyanjana' of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA) was launched on Friday.
Rohtak, May 1, 2026: The poster for the second convocation ceremony and the 11th art exhibition 'Abhivyanjana' of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA) was launched on Friday. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya and Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha launched the poster. COE Dr. Ajay Kaushik, Faculty Coordinators Mahesh TP, Ajay Bahu Joshi, Vinay Kumar and Dr. Shaili Khanna were also present on the occasion.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said that the second convocation ceremony will be held on May 4 and will be presided over by the Haryana Governor and Chancellor of the University, Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh, who will award the degrees to 760 students who have successfully completed their graduation and post-graduation studies. VC Dr. Arya said that during the convocation, 35 meritorious students will be awarded gold medals. Degrees will also be awarded to 42 students of the 2018 batch of the Film and Television Faculty. Their degrees were pending due to the incomplete course.
VC Dr. Arya said that the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, will grace the occasion as the chief guest, while the Education Minister, Mahipal Dhanda, will be the distinguished guest. The Vice Chancellor said that preparations are in full swing to make the convocation ceremony memorable. The university campus is being specially decorated. Various organizing committees have been formed, and different responsibilities have been assigned. All students and their guardians have been invited to be a part of the event.
Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha said that DLCSUPVA is the only state university in the country providing art and cultural education, where quality education in music, dance, drama, fine arts, planning and architecture, design, visual arts, etc., is being offered. Students educated here are bringing recognition to the SUPVA family, the state, and the country at both national and international levels. She said that this event is not just an opportunity to obtain a degree, but also a chance to honour the hard work and dedication of the students.
The exhibition ‘Abhivyanjana’ for art lovers will begin on May 3 at the Faculty of Design campus and it will be open for school and college students, art enthusiasts, and the general public from May 5 and will continue until May 8. ‘Abhivyanjana’ is the 11th annual art exhibition of the Faculty of Visual Arts at SUPVA, which will feature works created over the year by students from the first to the final year of UG and PG visual arts programs. The purpose of the exhibition is to provide students with a platform where they can present their creativity, technical skills, and artistic vision to the public. On May 3 and 4, the exhibition will be open only for guests and invited visitors.
The Vice-Chancellor said that in ‘Abhivyanjana,’ artworks by students from various departments of the Faculty of Visual Arts, including Animation, Multimedia, Applied Arts, Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking, will be displayed. This confluence of traditional and modern art styles will provide the audience with diverse experiences. From digital art to classical painting and three-dimensional sculpture, glimpses of every medium will be visible here.
