Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said that the Government of India is actively working towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the country's higher education institutions. In light of this, and with the objective of encouraging student-driven innovation and startups, SUPVA will provide a dedicated platform to engage students and faculty in various innovation and entrepreneurial activities. To facilitate this, a robust innovation and startup ecosystem has been established. He further added that, under the Institutional Startup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Policy, systems for pre-incubation and incubation support, incentives for faculty and students involved in innovation and startups, and frameworks for Intellectual Property (IP) ownership, revenue sharing, and equity sharing between the institution and incubated startups will be developed.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Arya noted that innovation and entrepreneurship projects will be designed in alignment with the students' academic curriculum to assist them in developing entrepreneurial skills and business acumen. Efforts will be directed toward harnessing the students' creative problem-solving abilities and entrepreneurial mindset, enabling the ecosystem, and fostering strong internal and inter-institutional partnerships with various stakeholders at regional, national, and international levels.

This policy for the entrepreneurship ecosystem will play a pivotal role in identifying, guiding, and nurturing the innovative and entrepreneurial potential of students and faculty, and in transforming them into startup entrepreneurs.
