Rohtak, October 13, 2026: The Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) organised a Devanagari calligraphy workshop at Government Senior Secondary School, Gharawathi, under its outreach programme, introducing students to the art of creative Hindi lettering.

Dr Prakash Das Khandey, NSS programme officer and head of the Department of Painting at SUPVA, guided students in improving letter formation, spacing, line thickness and visual balance. Using pens, brushes and colours, participants practised writing Hindi letters, words and inspirational quotes in decorative styles.

Dr Khandey said calligraphy went beyond beautiful handwriting, helping students develop patience, concentration, creativity and discipline. School principal Rakesh Satyapriya said such initiatives fostered respect for Hindi and helped preserve India's linguistic and cultural heritage.

Dr Khandey also briefed students on SUPVA's creative and professional courses, highlighting career opportunities in art and visual arts.
