SUPVA Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha to participate as a speaker at 19th MIFF
Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, Registrar of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC-SUPVA), Rohtak, will participate as a speaker at the 19th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF). She will share her views during an 'Open Forum' session at MIFF on June 18. The festival, which commenced on June 15, will continue until June 21.
Rohtak, June 15, 2026: Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, Registrar of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC-SUPVA), Rohtak, will participate as a speaker at the 19th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF). She will share her views during an 'Open Forum' session at MIFF on June 18. The festival, which commenced on June 15, will continue until June 21.
Mahesh TP, a faculty member from the University's Film and Television Department, stated that MIFF is jointly organized by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). This seven-day event is recognized as the country's largest film festival. The awards presented here are considered the second most prestigious film awards in the country, ranking just after the National Film Awards.
He mentioned that Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha will speak on the topic, "Are Young Filmmakers Redefining Documentaries?" She will share the stage with Dheeraj Singh (Director, Film and Television Institute of India - FTII, Pune) and filmmakers Prabal Khaund, Preeti Sharma, Mridul Madhu, and Santoshi Mishra.
Registrar Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha expressed that it is a matter of great pride for SUPVA to be represented on the MIFF platform. She intends to use this opportunity to inform filmmakers and directors about how SUPVA is training students to meet the specific needs of the film industry.
