Hyderabad: Support Elders, a social impact enterprise that provides one-stop, expert-verified and customised solutions for all elderly needs, is now here to serve the senior citizens of Hyderabad. Support Elders specialises in providing 24/7 holistic and responsive support to elders in times of medical emergencies and for their medical and other daily needs to ensure their well-being, independence and happiness. This is achieved through application of sophisticated technology-enabled solutions, implemented by a team of former armed forces personnel and coordinated by their state-of-the-art Alarm Centres to ensure seamless delivery of services. Through customised solutions, Support Elders takes care of their members’ medical emergencies and other medical issues, their out-of-home work, checks daily about the members’ wellbeing, and even manages their financial issues. In addition, the organisation also ensures the mental well-being of elders through their emotional and cognitive solutions, which promote positive ageing and help keep dementia and loneliness and even depression at bay. Since 2014, Support Elders has been tirelessly serving the senior citizens of Kolkata and its adjoining areas, where it has touched the lives of almost 1400 seniors. Support Elders and Call Health, one of India's leading HealthTech companies based out of Hyderabad, have entered into a partnership to provide complementary services to each other's members, so as to make life convenient for elders in Hyderabad.

Their state-of-the-art technology facilitates a well-coordinated and swift medical emergency care through a one-touch alert button on a Smart, lightweight wristband. At the press of a button, the member is connected with the Alarm Centre, which then detects the location of the member, and upon verifying the nature of the medical emergency, dispatches Member Care Associate/s (who are primarily ex-servicemen) and an ambulance to the member’s location. The Member Care Associate/s helps the member into the ambulance and accompanies the member to a preferred, pre-defined hospital. At the hospital, the Support Elders team ensures that the member is attended to and if advised by the doctor, takes adequate care to admit the member and ensure emergency medical intervention at the earliest. Their advanced technology also ensures remote health monitoring through which members’ health parameters can be measured and responded to as per the thresholds suggested by the member’s personal physician. It also ensures uninterrupted connection with the members and their children.

Speaking about the growing need of such services, Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, Co-founder & Chairman, Support Elders said, “Support Elders was created with the intent to enhance the quality of life of elders living on their own, so that they could live an independent life without being uprooted from their comfort zone. Our belief in professional yet compassionate care and our member-first approach has helped us to establish Support Elders as a reliable and trustworthy platform.”

Apratim Chattopadhyay, Founder, MD & CEO, Support Elders said, “The state-of-the-art technology and the dedicated team help us deliver our services seamlessly. During the pandemic and the lockdown, our pre-emptive planning and process-driven approach facilitated undisrupted service through remote working, and an intensive preventive protocol, while taking care of the members’ needs, which included taking care of them during medical emergencies and exigencies; delivering essential medicines and groceries; arranging for delivery of home-cooked food; helping with out-of-home work, etc. And now, we are working with the healthcare service providers to make the vaccination process as smooth as possible for our members."
