Sunil Kant Munjal Honoured with France’s “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite”

Ludhiana, October 30, 2025: Sunil Kant Munjal, President, Managing Society, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H), Ludhiana, has been conferred the prestigious “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite” (Knight of the National Order of Merit) by the French Embassy on behalf of the Government of France.
This rare and distinguished honour has been bestowed upon Munjal in recognition of his exceptional contributions to art and culture, as well as his notable philanthropic initiatives and steadfast commitment to the healthcare sector.
The award was presented by the French Ambassador during a special ceremony celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa, an event that drew thousands of art enthusiasts from across India.
The DMC&H Managing Society, including Secretary Bipin Gupta, extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Munjal on this prestigious achievement. “His vision to educate and inspire through art and culture truly reflects his dynamic, compassionate, and visionary leadership,” said Sh. Gupta.
Expressing pride in the recognition, Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H, remarked, “It is a matter of immense pride for the entire DMC&H family. Before founding Serendipity Arts, Munjal had been deeply engaged with the arts since 1999 through the Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam, a cultural organization that has organized over a hundred events across various performing art forms in Ludhiana and Punjab.
