Sun Neo’s actress Suman Singh talks about her character: “I truly believe a negative character is just as important as the lead….”
In every story, there’s a character who wears a smile on the outside but hides a storm within — and in Satyaa Sachee, that twist comes through Sundari. Played by Suman Singh, Sundari is the kind of character who instantly pulls your attention, not because she’s loud, but because she’s unpredictable. She brings depth, drama, and a spark that keeps the audience guessing what she’ll do next.
While talking about her character, Suman says, “I play the character of Sundari in the show. In general, whenever something good or bad happens, our eyes first go to the bad or the shocking thing. Bad things always grab attention and that’s exactly how my character is. Sundari pretends to be sweet, positive, and perfect, but in reality, she’s nothing like that. She’s a negative character who is always trying to convince everyone that she’s actually a good person.”
She further added, “I’ve always wanted to play a challenging character that teaches me something new, and this role gave me exactly that. I truly believe a negative character is just as important as the lead because they bring the twists, the drama, and the spark to the story. To highlight the positive side of any character, you need a strong negative one opposite them and that’s the flavour Sundari adds to Satyaa Sachee.”
The show tells the story of Satyaa and Sachee, two inseparable sisters from a small village. Bold and fearless Satyaa, and gentle, selfless Sachee, share a bond not out of duty, but built on a promise rooted in love. Their connection is natural and unbreakable. No matter what challenges life throws at them, they stand by each other, protecting, supporting, and being a silent strength of each other.
