Sun Foundation Celebrates Founder’s Day at Ludhiana Multi Skill Development Centre
Sun Foundation, under the aegis of Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Padma Shri and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), celebrated its Founder’s Day at its Multi Skill Development Centre (MSDC) in Ludhiana. The occasion marked the Foundation’s journey since its inception in 1999 and reaffirmed its commitment to skilling, empowerment, and humanitarian development.
Ludhiana, February 20, 2026: Sun Foundation, under the aegis of Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Padma Shri and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), celebrated its Founder’s Day at its Multi Skill Development Centre (MSDC) in Ludhiana. The occasion marked the Foundation’s journey since its inception in 1999 and reaffirmed its commitment to skilling, empowerment, and humanitarian development.
The event was graced by Inderjit Kaur, Mayor of Ludhiana, as the Chief Guest, along with Gurdev Singh, ACP Ludhiana, and other distinguished guests. Nearly 500 trainees participated enthusiastically, presenting live demonstrations, innovative models, and technical showcases reflecting their practical learning and industry-relevant skills.
Sun Foundation continues to play a vital role in advancing livelihood opportunities. In the past year alone, the Foundation successfully trained and placed over 5,460 students across sectors. The organization operates free skill development centres in Patiala, Amritsar, and Delhi, along with a rural training centre at Phuwind.
The dignitaries commended the trainees’ confidence, creativity, and workforce readiness. Founder’s Day highlighted Sun Foundation’s enduring vision of fostering dignity through skills and opportunity through training.
