Sukriti- The Retail Lab inaugurated at KMV

Jalandhar, June 10, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always takes initiatives in organizing various informative programs to enhance knowledge and employability skills of the students. Being the pioneer institution of skill development, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has touched many milestones. In this series of progressive skill development, Department of Retail Management under DDU Kaushal Kendra has set up Sukriti- The Retail Lab, the first Retail Lab in Northern Region of India.

Dr. B.S. Ponmudiraj, Adviser, NAAC inaugurated the Retail Lab. During the inauguration,  Dr. Ponmudiraj lauded the sincere efforts of KMV for providing the platform to students for practically indulging in industry retail processes & also said that this retail lab is the initiative towards creation of standardized infrastructure for delivery of skill development training which is well-equipped to run industry-driven retail course of high quality with focus on employability. 

Principal (Prof.) Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi apprised Dr. Ponmudiraj with the remarkable achievements of the skill courses running successfully under DDU Kaushal Kendra. She averred that the objective behind setting up of Retail Lab is to empower the students by providing market relevant skill training and to develop entrepreneurial traits in them. In this way, the practical exposure given in retail lab allows underlying theory to be linked to exemplary applications and practical experience. She lauded the efforts of Dr Gopi Sharma, Director, DDU Kaushal Kendra, Dr Rashmi Sharma, Course Incharge, Chetna Arora & Department of Retail Management.
