Sukhbir thanks Patiala, Talwandi Sabo residents, Election Commission for peaceful bypolls

Chandigarh, August 21, 2014: President, Shiromani Akali Dal and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal today thanked the people of Patiala and Talwandi Sabo including government officials especially election commission for smooth, fair and peaceful conduct of Patiala and Talwandi Sabo by-poll.
In a statement issued here, Badal said the credit of free, fair and smooth conduct of these by-polls goes to wise electorates of both constituency election commission and security forces, who played a vital role to conclude these crucial exercises peacefully. He said the by elections in peaceful manner has sealed the lips of critics including Congress and AAP since the leaders of these parties were expressing law and order problem apprehensions. He said the SAD-BJP combine was committed to maintain law and order and concordance in the state.
Badal also predicted that the ruling combine would register unprecedented victories on both Patiala and Talwandi Sabo seats.
