Sukhbir slams Congress led UPA Government for hike in diesel price

Chandigarh, January 31, 2014:  Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today slammed the Congress led UPA Government at Center for totally unjustified and arbitrary hike of .50 paisa per liter in the price of diesel.

Demanding immediate roll back of the hike in diesel price, Badal said since last January Congress led UPA government was increasing the prices of petro-products on daily basis, which has broken the back of common masses already suffering unprecedented inflation in the country. He demanded despite alarming poverty in the country the prices of petro-products in India was amongst the highest in the world. He said that this hike would also adversely affect the transport and farming sector besides further increase in price of essential commodities.   He said instead of dancing to the tunes of oil companies the Congress led UPA Government should adopt the transparent system to decide the prices of petro-products with consultation of all political parties.//punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news, world news,
