Ludhiana, August 30, 2019: To make the newly admitted students familiar with college, college campus and facilities provided by college, a 21 days Student Induction Programme was organized at G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmcy, Gurusar Sadhar Ludhiana.
The purpose of student induction programme is to help new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self-exploration.
At the start of the induction, the incumbents learn about the institutional policies, processes, practices, culture and values, and their mentor groups are formed. During induction programme different activities like indoor games, creative arts like Poster Making and Rangoli was organized. Students visit to Library, Animal House, Botanical Garden, Shooting Range, and Archery was organized. Students visited to village Abbowal for Swachhta Abhiyan. They planted the tree and interacted with villagers.
Students also visited birth place of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, the Sarabha village. During induction programme students visited Premjit Memorial Hospital where they interacted with Dr. Ravinder Singh Eye Specialist. He made them aware about Eye donation. Students also visited to the Gurudwara Shri Hargobind Sahib.
Principal, Dr. Satvinder Kaur addressed the students and motivate them to achieve excellence in each field.
