Chandigarh, March 3, 2022: With great pride, University Business School, Panjab University Chandigarh announces the successful completion of campus placement for its flagship programmes MBA, Batch 2020-22 by releasing its final placement report, today. With the past two years struggling through the pandemic, University Business School has worked its way to provide ample opportunities to the students by scaling new heights of achievements this year with 96.29% placements as compared to 90.16% last year.

According to placement coordinator, Dr Tejinderpal Singh, the overall batch size was 146 students, out of which 11 students opted out from the placement process because of their family business, start-ups and further studies.  The remaining batch of 135 students bagged offers from various prominent recruiters with an average package of 10.13 LPA. This marked an increase of 25% in an average package, which was 8.10 LPA for the last year. The highest package offered is 53.06LPA by Tolaram which was a major increase from last year's highest package of 17.8 LPA offered by American Express. In percentage term, 182 % increase is recorded in the highest package in comparison to the last year.  This year more than 30 recruiters including Tolaram Group, American Express, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, MG Motors, Deloitte, HDFC Life, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, KPMG, HCL, Tech Mahindra, and various other reputed companies participated in the placement process from different sectors like Research, Consulting & Advisory, Automotive, BFSI, FMCG, and Retail. There has been a 25% increase in the number of recruiters this year and 10 new recruiters participated in the process for the first time.  The top five companies in terms of the package offered by them: Tolaram (53 LPA), American Express  (21 LPA), Planetspark (18LPA), Deloitte(13.6 LPA) and Bajaj Finserv (12.8 LPA). The top Ten students who secured the highest are, Deepak Singh (MBA), Atin Patel (MBA), Jaspreet Kaur (MBA IB), Satyam Srivastava (MBA), Bhuwan Kumar (MBA), Pratyaksh Jain (MBA), Shubham Sarohi (MBA), Aradhana Jha (MBA), Mangesh Sunil Rahane (MBA), and Mitali (MBA). 

The campus has managed to overcome the covid times with its hard work and dedication towards the process, marking a better performance in all the spheres. The diversity in roles offered shows the continuous hard work of both students and faculty to stay abreast of the industry changes.
