Study Group and University of Huddersfield launch new campus in London

Chandigarh: Study Group is delighted to announce the launch of post graduate programs in the beginning of September 2020 at the University of Huddersfield – London with its first Intake in September 2020 starting in Chandigarh. The Study Group and  University of Huddersfield (London) have collaborated to announce the programs and intake in the month of September this year.
At the Greenwich campus, University of Huddersfield - London will initially offer two postgraduate programs: MSc Accounting and Finance; MSc International Business.
The University of Huddersfield has been recognized as a centre of excellence and a gold-rated University by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). They have an impressive record of providing 93.8% employment to its postgraduate students through placements.
In India, they are hosting a series of events to promote their first Intake in September 2020 starting in Chandigarh. The announcement is scheduled at Chandigarh where the Dignitaries of the University in London & the Study Group will be present. The Chief Guest would be Neil Christie, the Global Sales Director UK -Division Study Group who is a leading figure in the field of International Education. For the last eight years, Neil has directed the UK recruitment for pathway students across the Study Group UK portfolio. Throughout his career, Neil has retained an interest in public-private partnership, the civic role of universities, study abroad and International Children’s Charity.
Chandigarh being the capital, has been leveraged with this opportunity to be a centre of the announcement in the presence of prominent associates of the University across Punjab and Haryana. Punjab has a growth rate of 66% in the last two years in terms of visa applications to study abroad. However an overall growth rate in India in the number of visa applicants has been 22% in the past two years.
The event would start at 10:45 am at Welcome Hotel Bella Vista, Panchkula, Chandigarh in the presence of Mr. Neil Christie. He will be visiting The Chitkara University to announce the programs by University of Huddersfield in the presence of 150-200 students since Chitkara University is an academic partner of the Study Group. This would give opportunities to the students of Chitkara University who wish to take up one of the programs and study abroad.
Neil Christie started his career in the field of Education in China in the year 1998. He returned back to the UK in 2001 and recognised the urgency of the Internationalisation agenda in the country.
In parallel, he led the Scottish Universities International Group which drove and supported the Fresh Talent Initiative allowing international graduates to stay and work. He then initiated the growth of the curriculum and exam franchise operations of NCC Education across Asia working with education authorities and schools. Through this, he enabled thousands of learners to benefit from their education system while staying in their home country.
For the last eight years Neil has directed the UK recruitment for pathway students across the Study Group UK portfolio. During this time the portfolio expanded to include universities like Sheffield, Durham, Aberdeen and Cardiff allowing more students to access and excel in the University of their Dreams.
