Jalandhar, December 30, 2014: Students of St Soldier Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology bring laurels in 1st Sameen Singh Fide Rating Chess Tournament 2014 (National Level) held in Amritsar from December 25 to 28. In this tournament three students namely Gurpreet Kaur, Gurkaran Singh and Anant sethi has participated and awarded with trophies along with certificates for “rapid moves in chess competition”. They won this National Championship with the set record of 30 seconds. Almost 1100 players across India has participated in this event. Principal B.S.Bora and staff congratulated these students and wish them success for the coming international level competition to be held at Delhi in January 2015. Principal Bharat Singh Bora congratulated the players for this success and gave best wishes for International Championship.
