Students of Fashion Design showcase their collection at “The Runway 2022”

Jalandhar, May 11, 2022: To enhance the creativity and imagination in the field of fashion, the Department of Fashion Design, CT Group of Institutions, South Campus, Shahpur in association with Saurav Kumar Bollywood makeup artist organized “The Runway 2022” - a Fashion Show by budding designer students of the department.  Young designers participated enthusiastically in the show with the themes like Art Deco, Little Munchkin, Floriana, Effizen, Tarequie Zindagi and Innovation.
 The event was inaugurated by the lamp lighting ceremony performed by CT Group Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi, Tanika Singh along with Guest of Honour Gaggun Bedi who is a leading choreographer of India; judges Mrs. India Charismatic 2021 Shweta Mehta; Makeup artist and influencer Neha Waraich Grover, Deputy Dean Student Welfare Davinder Singh and HOD of department Pallavi Kapoor and other staff members. The special guests remained International Weightloss Consultant Shivalika Khanna, Soft Skills Trainer Anukiran Khanna, Media Professional Seema Soni, Pooja Singh, Dr. Arvinder, Seema Arora and RJ Sandy.
The event included 6 collections and the choreography of every round along with the makeup of models was done by Celebrity Make-Up Artist Saurav Kumar and his team.
Sandeep Kaur, Gurleen Kaur, Rooppreet Kaur, Muskan, Jaspreet, Kanika, Yoshika and Nidhi were tagged as best designers whereas Amneet Kaur, Aviaan, Yashika Sharma,  Rupinder Kaur, Deepika Thakur and Nilankshini were selected as best models of the show.
Pallavi Kapoor, HOD, Fashion Design Department said “It was a big platform for the budding designer students of the Group to expose their hidden creativity through the designs that they made in their final semester.”
Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, CT Group, Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Campus Director Dr. Rahul Malhotra appreciated the efforts put in by the Fashion Design students and motivated them as such events gives practical exposure to the students.
The event was supported by 91.9 FM Radio City, Lensation Pictures, Mahi Photography, Tushar Mehra and Oriflame.
