This was shared by distinguished alumni of Dept. of Journalism & Mass Communication, MDU & presently Associate Professor, Journalism & Mass Communication (CDLU) Sirsa in an Extension Lecture programme organized in Dept. of Journalism & Mass Communication of MDU.
Dr. Ravinder delivered the Special Lecture on “Stress Management Strategies for Students” organized under the Alumni Relation Cell of the department. He said that students must inculcate the value of patience, contentment and gratitude in life. He threw light on breathing exercises like deep breathing, deep belly breathing for managing stress. He advised pursuit of creative hobbies and journaling for catharsis of emotions. He also conducted a meditation session, and answered the queries of students in the interactive session.
Faculty member Sunit Mukherjee co- ordinate and conducted the lecture programme. He said that this lecture was organized to facilitate mental capacity building of the students. Presiding over the programme, Superannuated Professor & former Head of Dept. Dr. Harish Kumar said that Bhagwat Geeta’s Karma Theory is a prescription for facilitating life journey.
HOD JMC Prof. Gulab Singh said that eminent alumni of the department will be invited to the department during the Golden Jubilee year of the University. Director, Alumni Relations Prof. Sumeet Gill felicitated Dr. Ravinder on the occasion.
