Students Learn Life Lessons from Film “Chalo Jeetein Hain” at Special Screening in Chandigarh

Around 120 school students attended the screening.

Students Learn Life Lessons from Film “Chalo Jeetein Hain” at Special Screening in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, September 20, 2025: Press Information Bureau (PIB), Chandigarh, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in coordination with PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 29, Chandigarh, organized a special screening of the inspirational film “Chalo Jeetein Hain” at PVR Centra Mall, IT Park, Industrial Area, Chandigarh. Around 120 school students attended the screening.

The 31-minute film, based on the childhood of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, highlights how he drew inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s famous quote: “Vahi jeete hain jo doosron ke liye jeete hain” (Those who live for others are the ones who truly live). The documentary film was screened free of cost for the students.

The students were deeply inspired by the documentary movie’s message. Anu Kumari, a Class XI student, shared that the character ‘Naru,’ based on the childhood of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, motivated her to always remain vigilant in helping others in every possible situation. Another student, Rohit of Class XI, said the movie taught him that small acts of kindness can bring big changes in society, and he would try to follow this in his daily life.

Similarly, Aardhanna (Class IX-B), Dilpreet (Class IX-B) and Aarib (Class XI) expressed that the film inspired them to help the underprivileged and incorporate such values into their day-to-day life.

A teacher from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya also shared his views on the documentary film. He said that the character ‘Naru’ was portrayed very well and would definitely inspire both students and viewers. He further added that such initiatives promote value-based learning among students.

The free screening of the documentary film will continue on Monday and Tuesday, 22–23 September 2025, at PVR City Centre, Chandigarh, at 12:50 PM.
