Students Gain Practical Exposure in Agentic AI Workshop at DAV University

Jalandhar, April 23, 2026: The Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Computer Science and Applications (CSA) at DAV University successfully organized a three-day workshop on Agentic AI. The workshop was conducted in a phased manner for different student groups, with B.Tech (CS & AI), B.Tech (CSE) and BCA students.
The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and rapidly evolving industry trends. The sessions were conducted by industry experts from Ansh Infotech, who introduced students to the emerging field of Agentic AI—intelligent systems capable of autonomous decision-making, planning, reasoning, and task execution.
The experts Anuj Aneja and his team shared valuable insights into the fundamentals, real-world applications, and future scope of autonomous AI agents. They also highlighted AI-driven productivity tools, workflow automation, and the increasing global demand for skilled professionals in artificial intelligence.
A major highlight of the workshop was its strong emphasis on hands-on and interactive learning. Students actively engaged in building AI agents and applying theoretical concepts to practical scenarios, thereby enhancing their technical and problem-solving skills.
Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar said, “These kinds of Workshops play a crucial role in preparing students for the dynamic technological landscape. Exposure to cutting-edge domains such as Agentic AI empowers learners to think innovatively and stay ahead in their careers.”
Registrar Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Arora also emphasized the importance of industry-academia collaboration, stating, “Such initiatives strengthen the practical understanding of students and align academic training with industry requirements, making them truly future-ready.”
The workshop concluded on a highly positive note with students expressing enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain exposure to one of the most promising technologies shaping the future.
The formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Dean of Computer Science who extended sincere appreciation to the resource persons, organizing team, and participants for making the workshop a grand success.
